It’s time to take a break and work on taking care of yourself in the French Pyrenees in a French Mountain Mansion that embodies French charm with authenticity. In one of the most beautiful thermal spa valleys, a UNESCO World Heritage Listed mountain circque and a valley that is a small sanctuary and a precious place that has preserved its rich natural heritage offering all the pleasures of a space still wild, where man has found his place in harmony with the landscape.

In the summer of 2019, we have coupled this exceptional experience with celebrity stylist Joh Bailey. Spanning 30 years, Joh's high profile career has earned him global notoriety as 'Stylist to the Stars' due to his celebrity clientele, resulting in a chain of self-branded salons.

Joh’s internationally recognised clientele has included Princess Diana, the Kardashians, Elle Macpherson, Jennifer Hawkins, Miranda Kerr, Paris Hilton, Hugh Jackman and Kerri-Ann Kennerley, to name just a few.

Synonymous with glamour and style, the Joh Bailey brand guarantees not only satisfaction, but in an indulgent setting – creating an unbelievable and unique experience in styling workshops including everything from personal styling to style settings in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Arrival & Welcome

  • You will be welcomed and collected at the Lourdes airport / train station
  • Drive to Le Belvedere – relax, unpack and begin to unwind
  • A light lunch followed by champagne cocktails early evening
  • Late afternoon stroll through the small village of Salles-Argeles – drink in the atmosphere of this small historic village in the heart of the Pyrenean countryside.
  • Candlelit dinner on the Terrace (weather permitting)

Cauterets & the Pont d'Espagne

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk through random paths to discover the many barns that adorn this wild landscape.
  • We will spend the day visiting the village of Cauterets and immersing ourselves in the essence of the Pyrenees with an afternoon visit to Lake Gaube and the Pont d'Espagne with a wonderful lunch at the Michelin recommended restaurant beneath the beautiful waterfalls.
  • Champagne cocktails on the balcony dinner at our local French restaurant

Thermal Spa Day / Glamour & Styling

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk for those who wish to partake in some morning exercise
  • Spend the day pampered at the thermal spa enjoying a selection of treatments, massages and the healing spa waters following in the famous footsteps of Kings and Queens where encounters are intense as the purity of the air and where the body is cared for by the benefits of the thermal springs but also the spirit with a wonder at all times.
  • Champagne cocktails on the balcony followed by dinner “Pyrenees Le Brasero” on the terrace.

A Magnificent Natural Wonder - Gavarnie

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk for those who wish to partake in some morning exercise
  • Be prepared to experience emotions that only nature can evoke. We head to a group of natural cirques in rare perfection. Gavarnie is the most famous and spectacular. It is unique in the whole world – and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Return to Le Belvedere for an aperitif and chitchat followed by a special dinner prepared by our chef on the Terrace.

Market Day

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk for those who wish to partake in some morning exercise
  • Visit to the famous and one of the oldest farmers markets in the region in Argeles Gazost. This market is 200 years old, select and try local sheep and cow cheeses, charcuterie, local fois gras, goats cheese, honey or just wander the market place and small village of Argeles.
  • Afterwards a picnic lunch if weather permitting at Lac D’estang in the mountains.
  • Champagne cocktails on the terrace followed by dinner – Restaurant Les Caliberos

The Chateau of Pau and styling with Joh

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk through the historic pathways of the village and valley.
  • Full day visiting the Chateau of Pau followed by shopping and styling with Joh in the famous Pyrenean village Pau with a visit to one of our best local antique dealers.
  • Learn how to dress to impress by mixing haute couture to cheap chic.
  • Aperitifs on the balcony at Le Belvedere followed by a more formal dinner on the Terrace (weather permitting). Afterwards relaxing in the Grand Salon with a red wine by the magnificent fireplace or on the terrace with the magnificent view of the Pyrenees

Lourdes and afternoon Styling

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk for those who wish to partake in some morning exercise
  • Late morning visit to the famous village of Lourdes where thousands of people come from all over the world to visit this town where in 1858 the young shepherdess Bernadette, “met” the Virgin Mary, in a small cave next to the Gave de Pau. Visitors rush to the Sanctuaries, stroke the wall of the grotto and drink from the water source that Bernadette brought forth from the very rock where she saw the apparitions.
  • Lunch in Lourdes
  • Afterward return to the house for a final styling and relaxing afternoon with Joh.
  • Formal dinner in the dining room and afterwards relaxing in the Grand Salon with a red wine by the magnificent fireplace or just soaking up the view of the Pyrenees from the house.

Bon Voyage & Bisous

  • Breakfast followed by a gentle morning walk for those who wish to partake in some morning exercise
  • Pack-up and goodbye
  • Transport to airport / train

What is Included and What to Pack

  • Transfers to and from Lourdes (excludes flights to Lourdes, personal spending money and personal insurance)
  • All meals including a daily health breakfast of fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurt, a selection of cold meats and homemade gravlax salmon, croissants, baguettes, eggs, bacon, etc., lunch sourced from local farmers of the region and then sumptuous dinner’s either at the house or at a selection of specially chosen restaurants of the region.
  • Unlimited beverages – an excellent selection of champagnes and wines from the region, house spirits, house beer and non-alcoholic drinks

  • Please note that due to unforeseen weather changes could occur to the itinerary however we will endeavor to ensure that the full itinerary as shown above is completed.
  • What to Pack? Comfortable, casual, and relaxed is the theme of your week (perhaps just one pair of heels). Summer wear, sneakers, casual wear, swim suit and a warm jacket as the nights can sometimes be a little chilly and as we are in the mountains, the weather at high altitude is cooler.
