If you can tear yourself away from the comfort and luxury of Lebelvedere, the swimming pool, gardens and stunning grounds. Then you’ll find there are a range of equally captivating activities awaiting you in the surrounding villages.
Everything from ski stations, restaurants, street markets, adventure parks and world famous events like
Tour de France are all right on your doorstep.
It really is an adventure playground for the whole family, with everything from downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, sleigh dogs through to white water rafting or fishing, you can experience it all in the Vallees des Gaves. There are no less than six ski stations among the highest of the Pyrenees, so whether your focus is on snow sports or family fun, we guarantee your stay here will be a memorable one.
Even if snow sport isn’t for you, you can’t help but be captivated by the allure of the snow country. On a clear day in the lakes region the air is crisp and the waters, clear and perfectly still. There are a number of tours that operate throughout winter including hiking tours and scenic flights. Hiking anytime of the year is one of the best ways to explore the region, but before heading off there are a few things worth remembering. Always inform someone of your destination and when you intend to return. Check the weather conditions (especially during winter or when canyoning), the weather can change quickly in the Pyrenees. Always carry drinking and wear suitable shoes and warm clothing.
Lovers of extreme and winter sports are well catered for. Manager of LeBelvedere, Jean Marc, is one of the regions most experienced mountain guides and specialises in: Ski Randonee, Ice Climbing, Mountaineering, Heli Skiing and canyoning.
